Tim Moriarty General During a visit in September 1996 the local rail crew said they added the B to the number because they thought all locomotives were supposed to have a B prefix on the number. Previously they had two MRS1s (the ones donated to the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum and later scrapped on site) which were numbered B2044 and B2052. The B indicated the locomotive was equipped with a boiler for providing steam heat to passenger cars. The crew was unaware of this and they continue to slap a B onto locomotives that arrive at the depot. 2/7/2013 1:54:10 PM
